This role is based in Farnborough, Hampshire with 2 days per week in the office. Our office is within walking distance of the train station and has free parking. This is a full-time position, however work life balance is important to us and so we are open to discussion on flexible working patterns (minimum 4 days per week). Salary: £38,000 - £42,000 p.a. + bonus.
About The RoleDevelop and deliver integrated PR strategies, driving awareness, reputation, and customer engagement. The strategies will support business objectives, fully integrating with the broader marketing strategy and flexing to balance evolving tactical sales needs with longer-term marketing aims. Plan and deliver proactive press trips, both individual and group, that deliver measurable impact. Know the media landscape well, to be able to evaluate and select press trip opportunities on a reactive basis that will deliver ROI. Host press trips as and when required. Create and deliver effective and engaging press releases, to include both consumer and trade relevant content and showcase our brands in the most positive light. Draft and distribute the tactical weekly late deals to relevant media. Manage and maintain the media database and press release distribution service. As and when required, also provide briefing documents or scripts to the General Management Team if they are speaking publicly about the brands. Cultivate and maintain excellent relationships with media contacts, identifying opportunities to promote our brands beyond the traditional travel pages. Provide a press office service and reply to media requests in a timely and informative manner. Enhance the value of traditional PR techniques to help grow business through earned channels and third-party partnerships, such as providing competition prizes. Monitor media coverage and analyse PR campaign effectiveness. Share engaging coverage reports with the business that use modern, measurable and relevant KPI’s to really excite the internal audiences and showcase the value of PR. Contribute to the delivery of a clear and cohesive crisis communications plan and act as the media communications point of contact in times of crisis. Consult and work closely with the Marketing Director and Head of Brand & Communications to manage media statements that protect the reputation of the brands and reassure our customers. Support the e-commerce team and digital agency with the development and implementation of digital PR strategies to grow backlinks via PR to improve SEO performance of both websites. Organise and help to host media events that form part of the wider strategy and showcase the best of our brands/share our news in the most engaging manner, including representation of the brands at industry events. Identify relevant industry and sustainability awards, delivering and writing entries to deadline, to showcase each brand’s standout work and achievements. Deliver plans on time and on budget and in a way that maximises value for our business. Work closely with the Head of Brand & Communications to prioritise investment levels based on strong reasoning across the different brands and programmes, to ensure we are meeting objectives. Be a champion of sustainability, working with the Sustainability team to bring our values to life through cross channel activity.
