About the role

You will drive visibility across both classic and AI‑driven touchpoints for our two specialist travel brands – Inghams and Santa’s Lapland. In the heart of our digital and e‑commerce team you will collaborate closely with marketing channels, product teams and our external digital agency to ensure our brands are cited, surfaced and trusted across both traditional and emerging search experiences. You will craft long‑term strategies, deliver SEO training sessions and implement day‑to‑day optimisations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver brand‑specific SEO strategies to enhance search rankings, grow organic reach and drive qualified traffic that converts into leads, bookings and revenue.
  • Conduct ongoing keyword research and analysis to identify opportunities, optimising both new and existing content for maximum visibility.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including content editors, copywriters and product specialists, to brief and implement on‑page optimisations, ensuring all new content is fully optimised before publication.
  • Partner with our digital agency to plan, manage and deliver Digital PR and outreach campaigns that strengthen authority and brand presence.
  • Manage and enhance the website’s backlink profile through targeted link building and regular audits, maintaining high‑quality links and protecting SEO integrity.
  • Work closely with the e‑commerce team and digital agency to prioritise and implement technical SEO improvements through development cycles.
  • Monitor and maintain the website’s technical health across all search engines, ensuring superior crawlability, indexing and user experience in line with Core Web Vitals and accessibility standards.
  • Boost brand visibility within AI‑driven search experiences by optimising content, structured data and schema for inclusion and accurate citation across platforms such as ChatGPT, Perplexity and AI Overviews.
  • Deliver regular training sessions to upskill teams and ensure SEO best practices are consistently applied.
  • Stay ahead of SEO trends, algorithm updates and evolving search behaviours to adapt strategies and sustain competitive advantage.
  • Perform in‑depth competitor and market analyses to uncover trends, benchmark performance and present actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Track, measure and report on key website and content performance metrics, providing actionable recommendations for continual improvement.

Qualifications

  • Proven SEO experience with measurable success in driving organic growth and maintaining technical site health.
  • Deep understanding of SEO best practices with the ability to brief, edit and QA high‑E-A-T content that aligns with search intent, brand voice and user experience principles.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and familiarity with testing tools.
  • Strong grasp of the marketing funnel and how organic strategy supports each stage.
  • Proficiency with SEO and analytics platforms, including GA4, Google Search Console, Semrush, Looker Studio and Power BI (or equivalents).
  • Excellent analytical abilities with a proven track record of turning complex data into actionable insights that drive performance.
  • Highly organised and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Experience with CMS platforms, ideally Umbraco.
  • Driven by measurable results, continuous improvement and commercial impact.
  • Technically astute, detail‑oriented and creatively minded with a problem‑solving mindset.
  • Confident communicator who can work collaboratively or autonomously when required.
  • A passion for travel, outdoor activities and winter sports would be beneficial.
