A leading global consultancy is scaling its Insurance Risk Advisory team within the UK, with a strategic focus on finance transformation for life, retirement, and general insurance clients. This expansion supports a substantial growth plan and addresses major change and transformation programmes across the sector.
The Senior Manager position will appeal to those experienced in delivering large-scale finance transformation, with the commercial acumen and consulting agility to drive complex change from both a technical and client relationship standpoint.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead delivery of finance transformation programmes for insurance sector clients, including life and retirement businesses
- Develop and implement process automation and control improvement across finance functions
- Advise on operating model and technology-enabled change from front to back office
- Build and manage client relationships, identify new opportunities, and contribute to business development
- Shape and deliver change projects spanning risk, regulatory, finance, and operational domains
- Support the development of team capability and provide thought leadership on finance transformation trends
- Significant consulting experience (Big 4, Tier-1 advisory, or equivalent) or demonstrable industry-led large-scale finance change delivery
- Strong understanding of insurance finance function operations (life, general, or retirement)
- Technical knowledge of finance operating models, processes, and enabling systems within insurance
- Demonstrable track record of leading projects including automation, technology deployment, or controls enhancement
- Ability to engage with clients and influence C-suite stakeholders
- Commercial approach: identifies opportunity, builds client rapport, and supports practice growth
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent professional qualification
- Experience with Workday or major finance systems implementation
- Experience in data, AI, or digital solutions as applied within the insurance sector
- Experience building managed/outsourced service capabilities
