Credit Risk – Consultant/Manager/Senior Manager – London (Hybrid)
£50,000 – £100,000 + benefits + share options
Ingham Jones is partnered with a leading Credit Risk Consultancy that is seeking multiple Credit Risk Consultants at various levels to join their growing team in London.
This is a long-standing client of Ingham Jones where we have a track record of successfully placing candidates across all levels – happy to share testimonials.
The successful candidates in this process will be part of a dynamic credit risk team that supports various financial services clients, predominantly within the banking sector.
This team has broad expertise in managing risk across the entire credit lifecycle, including portfolio evaluation, acquisition and collection strategy management, and supporting regulatory projects such as IFRS9 and AIRB.
This is an exciting opportunity for professionals with 2-8 years of experience, who are looking for a more autonomous role in a rapidly expanding boutique consultancy. You will have the chance to directly contribute to the team’s success and see the tangible impact of your work on both the company and its clients.
Role Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of credit risk solutions for various clients, including stress testing, model validation, model development, and credit risk strategy.
- Lead and contribute to analysis and modelling projects, supporting larger project deliveries when necessary.
- Identify opportunities to enhance value through advanced analysis and modelling techniques.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of existing and new business strategies, providing recommendations for improvements.
- Proactively contribute to enhancing internal capabilities and processes.
Ideal Candidate:
- 2+ years of experience in a risk analysis role.
- A 2:1 degree or higher in a subject with statistical content (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics, Operational Research).
- Proficiency in SAS.
- Strong skills in manipulating and analysing large datasets.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Solid understanding of the regulatory landscape (e.g., IFRS9, Basel, AIRB, ICAAP, SREP, Stress Testing).
- Experience with regulatory frameworks outside of the UK (e.g., TRIM, CECL) is a plus.
