About the role

Due to growth in the department, we are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Clinical Trials Assistant to join our Neurophysiology Clinical Trials team, on a 6-month, Full-Time contract (with potential for extension). As a Clinical Trial Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting innovative cerebrovascular and neuro-interventional clinical trials. This is an opportunity to contribute to research that changes lives, while working alongside leading experts in a collaborative and supportive environment.

What you'll do

  • Manage centralised clinical trials inbox, databases, and administrative filing systems.
  • Provide high-level administrative support to clinical research personnel, including Lead Investigator, Clinical Trials Manager, and Coordinators.
  • Coordinate trial supplies, meetings, travel arrangements, agendas, and minutes for study-related activities.
  • Assist with Ethics and Governance submissions, tracking, and reporting (including protocol amendments and annual reports via REGIS).
  • Maintain and update clinical trial documentation, training materials, and contact details.
  • Monitor timelines, resources, and ensure smooth implementation of administrative processes for the trials department.
  • Manage and reconcile clinical trial invoicing, payments, and database entries (CTMS, electronic site files, patient databases).
  • Support preparation of study-related presentation materials and administrative documents.
  • Organise and track study activities, including scheduling patient bookings and coordinating project tasks.
  • Perform other tasks as required to support clinical trials and research operations.
