The jobholder is responsible for ensuring that safety, environmental and quality standards meet company and regulatory standards.
- Driving safety improvements through regular audits/reporting of plant equipment, procedures and activities.
- Operate steam generating and associated equipment/services to ensure that defined targets are consistently achieved.
- Analysis of feed water and other key boiler parameters through a variety of techniques and procedures.
- Work within a manufacturing team and play a support role in Caprolactone Operations and Site Utility Services.
- Ensure all SIF/DCS equipment is both operational and any defects are reported for maintenance.
- The jobholder must be self-motivated and use interpersonal skills to communicate constructively and clearly to Team members, Manufacturing, Technical and other support functions.
- Adopts a flexible approach, adapting to changing site production plans as required.
- Collaborate with other departments and assist with the continuous improvement of plant processes.
- Proof-testing of safety equipment and reporting of any failures.
- Develop/improve Manufacturing tasks and draft/review appropriate procedures to the required standards.
Qualifications and Experience
- Essential: NVQ Level 3 or City and Guilds in Process Operations; Appropriate literacy, numerical reasoning and accuracy skills; Basic Computer skills & DCS familiarity.
- Desirable: Safety training (IOSH, NEBOSH); Forklift truck licence; Permit to work/LOTOTO training.
