Are you a strategic, people-focused leader with a passion for performance, quality and partnership working? We are seeking an experienced Team Manager to lead the delivery of our In-custody Careers, Information, Advice and Guidance (CIAG) contract across the region. This is a pivotal role with responsibility for operational performance, team leadership and stakeholder engagement, ensuring high-quality outcomes for people in custody while representing Ingeus with commissioners and prison partners.
Leadership & Performance
- Lead, manage and inspire CIAG Advisors and Peer Mentors to deliver high-quality services and exceed contractual KPIs.
- Hold local operational and performance management responsibility for all front-line delivery roles.
- Coach, develop and motivate staff through regular supervision, performance reviews and development planning.
- Plan, forecast and manage resources to meet changing operational requirements, including timely recruitment.
- Act as Senior Practitioner when required, delivering casework and interventions to provide resilience and flexibility.
- Champion the value of lived experience, ensuring services are inclusive, supportive and empowering.
- Motivate and promote service users' belief in their ability to change and progress.
Compliance & Quality
- Ensure delivery meets CIAG quality standards, including Matrix, Ofsted and HMIP requirements.
- Lead on compliance, audit, reporting and quality assurance across the service.
- Maintain full compliance with Ingeus policies, procedures and contractual obligations.
Partnership Working & Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the key local representative for Ingeus with commissioners and stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with the Governor, Head of Education, Skills & Work, and wider prison teams.
- Develop and deliver the local partnerships strategy in line with regional and national objectives.
- Work collaboratively with MOJ staff and prison stakeholders to enhance service delivery and outcomes.
- Identify opportunities for service integration, innovation and best practice sharing across the region.
We are looking for someone who brings:
- Proven experience of managing teams in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
- Strong knowledge of the Justice sector, particularly custodial settings.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- A strong commitment to social value and improving outcomes for local communities.
- Flexibility to travel across the region, as this role covers multiple locations.
