The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 Β£ per year.

The Functional Assessor – Clinical Trainer will be part of a wider team responsible for delivering Personal Independence Payment Assessment training to new clinical employees and facilitate other training as required by the business. Training will be facilitated using a combination of in- person, online and virtual classroom delivery as required.

  • Undertake Functional Assessments as required by the business.
  • Deliver clinical training to clinicians in line with EBM (Evidence Based Medicine).
  • Support new clinicians to HAAS to achieve the required training outcomes and identify early support requirements.
  • Use reflective tools and models to engender a culture of feedback and use this to inform improvements in the PIP training delivery methodology, content, and own practise.
  • Work with the wider Learning and Development team to review, create and update training materials as required.
  • Ensure all written documentation is provided for feedback purposes to a high standard and on time.
  • Maintain own up to date knowledge of welfare matters.
  • Provide input into Training Needs Analysis as requested.
  • Support the wider operation to ensure that an effective, safe and efficient clinical service is delivered through assessment activities that maintain β€˜Approval’ from SoS (Secretary of State) and allow learnings from active delivery to the training environment.
  • Provide SME input to clinical changes as required, including taking part in any testing and impacting, as required.

Essential Criteria:

    • Current DWP Approval as a PIP Functional Assessor.
    • Current HCPC / NMC registration with no restrictions to practise.
    • A proven record of relevant Continual Professional Development (CPD) and revalidation.
    • Excellent literacy skills and the ability to logically review and edit documentation to a professional standard.
    • Ability to work as part of a wider team, manage own time and work to tight deadlines.
    • Ability to take high level change and training requirements and develop guidance to meet the needs of the HP within the HAAS setting, ensuring continuity of service and customer experience, in line with EBM (Evidence Based Medicine).
    • Strong communicator with experience of liaising with multi-disciplinary health care professionalsand key stakeholders of all levels.
    • An ability to draw on your experience as a clinical expert in your area and apply this to your role.
    • General IT skills and ability to use software effectively.
    • Driven and flexible.
    • Attention to detail.

    Desirable Experience

    • Experience of delivering / facilitating training in an adult learning environment with knowledge of models / styles of learning.
    • Experience of training content creation.
    • Further qualification in learning and development or education.
