Our experienced team provides the solutions, support and knowledge to bring added value to your business.
MB Air Systems have recently completed two acquisitions and are moving to new premises in Hamilton to consolidate the expanded and growing business on one site. To support this exciting period of growth, we are looking for an experienced, proactive and detail oriented Assistant Accountant to join our Finance team. This role is ideal for someone with strong organisational and communication skills who is keen to develop their finance career within a supportive environment.
You will provide essential support across the Finance function, ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial information and contributing to the smooth running of daily operations and monthly reporting. Hybrid working available (1 day at home / 4 in the office).
Responsibilities:
- Analysis and payment of employee expenses
- Month end journals including purchasing / T&E card and employee expenses
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Agreement of trade balances with intercompany partners at month end
- Leading the monthly netting exercise to settle intercompany partner balances
- Supporting purchase ledger processing at month end and providing holiday cover
- Supporting credit control function and providing holiday cover
- Supporting the external audit process
- Other duties as required
Basic Qualifications:
- Purchase Ledger experience (essential)
- Working knowledge of ERP systems (essential)
- ERP systems implementation experience (desirable)
- Experience of using online banking platforms
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- A background in a service/manufacturing environment (desirable)
- Concur (T&E and expense tool) experience (desirable)

- The approximate salary range for this role is £36,000-£40,000, depending on experience.
