Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Service Engineer to join our team at Premiair Solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, installation, and commissioning of compressed air equipment across Norfolk, Suffolk, and Cambridgeshire. This field-based role requires a proactive approach to customer service, technical problem-solving, and a commitment to high standards of workmanship.
Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and emergency breakdown repairs on compressed air systems.
- Install, commission, and service a wide range of compressed air equipment including compressors, dryers, filtration systems, and associated components.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults efficiently.
- Maintain clear and professional communication with customers and internal teams.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company and client Health & Safety policies.
- Accurately complete service documentation and maintain records using digital tools.
- Liaise with the Branch Manager and office staff to clarify job requirements and report progress.
- Provide technical support and share knowledge with colleagues to improve service delivery.
- Participate in ongoing technical training and development.
Qualifications/Education:
- Engineering qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electromechanical disciplines (NVQ, HNC, City & Guilds).
- F-Gas certification (optional).
- Full UK driving licence.
Experience:
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in the compressed air industry or similar technical field.
- Proven diagnostic and fault-finding skills in mechanical and electrical systems.
- Experience with a variety of compressed air technologies and brands.
Competencies:
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong customer service orientation and communication skills.
- IT literate with experience using service reporting tools.
- Commercial awareness and ability to make sound decisions on-site.
- Flexible and willing to travel across the region, including occasional overnight stays.
- Team player with a proactive and solution-focused mindset.
