The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 Β£ per year.
Responsibilities
- Dismantle and inspect product returned for repair and overhaul. Prepare a detailed inspection report for the unit once dismantled.
- Repair and overhaul products in the workshop and on customer\βs sites when required.
- Accompany Service Manager, Supervisor or senior Service Engineers on service visits to customers in the UK and overseas where required. After training this will sometimes be alone.
- Clean, grit blast and paint products returned to the workshop from customers for repair.
- Ensure customers\β orders are to the required standard and fully assembled before dispatch.
- Provide detailed list of expenses incurred during service visits to include total time spent travelling and time spent on-site in line with company policy.
- Receive instructions from the UK Service Manager/Service Supervisor.
- Undergo training on the operation of machinery and equipment in the department when on site for job related requirements. This will include overhead cranes and forklift trucks.
- Awareness, understanding and compliance of all company and departmental procedures pertaining to your duties and responsibilities, including but not limited to Health & Safety.
- Any other duties that the company may reasonably require, including but not limited to:
- Receipt of goods; including off-loading
- Spray painting of goods
- Packing of goods for transport
- Grit blasting of parts in the dedicated blast room using supplied PPE
- Maintaining cleanliness of factory in accordance with LEAN practices
- Sweeping the workshop, emptying workshop bins and washing the floor with the equipment provided
- Engineering qualifications
- Knowledge of rotating equipment
- Knowledge of liquid ring vacuum pumps and centrifugal blowers would be an advantage
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings
- PC literate with MS Office
- Able to work as part of a team & on own when required
- Good customer relation/communication skills
Here at Gardner Denver NASH we mostly carry our service, repair and overhaul work of liquid ring vacuum pumps and centrifugal air blowers in our fully equipped workshop, we also frequently attend customers sites to carry out internal inspections of liquid ring vacuum pumps and testing of the pumps. We also carry out minor maintenance of liquid ring vacuum pumps and centrifugal blowers, which include bearing and seal changes on the customer\βs site.
