As Stores person you will be responsible for the management of all inventory held within the UK Service sites and the safe and efficient running of the Ingersoll Rand UK Rental fleet and its day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities
- Ordering and receiving of inventory within service locations
- Conducting stock takes in accordance with company procedure
- Monitoring and reporting stock usage
- Assist in workshop functions such as visitor inductions, keeping facility clean and tidy, carrying out safety checks
- Co-ordinate the availability, delivery and commission of rental units and accessories from the EMEA rental fleet
- Liaise with external rental suppliers when required
- Ensure all rental documentation is correct
- Co-ordinate the service requirements of the rental units
- Ensure all pressure release valves are correct and within date
- Update rental trackers as required
- Load rental units onto transport vehicles through the use of the forklift truck
- Deliver small rental units locally
- Inspect units for damage upon return to workshop and organise remedial works
- Creation of supplier PO's
- Supporting collection of EHS data
Qualifications
- Excellent communication and customer relationship building skills are critical
- Flexibility, initiative, willingness to drive change in process and systems essential
- Microsoft package and email essential, Siebel knowledge advantageous
- Working knowledge of Oracle
- Must possess good written and numeric skills
- Commercial acumen essential
- Forklift operator's license
- Full driving license
- Self-motivated, yet a proven team player
- Ability to handle high volumes of work with an attention to detail
- Comfortable multi-tasking across activities, people, systems and processes
- Willingness to learn, but also prepared to use own initiative where necessary
