The Warehouse & Logistics Lead will oversee all warehouse and logistics operations to support international trade (import/export) and onsite production builds. Drive routine management behaviours within the stores to improve workflow efficiency and right first-time material flow to the shop floor, distributors and end customers.
Responsibilities:
- Supervising daily operations to meet productivity targets
- Inventory & warehouse management systems
- Order fulfilment (Internal/External Customers)
- Shipping & Receiving – On Time and In Full
- Develop team competencies and cross-training
- Import/Export Regulations (Commercial Documentation)
- Perpetual Inventory & Auditing
Basic Qualifications/Experience:
- Proven experience in a warehouse and logistics role, and experience in a lead position handling import/export regulation
- Strong knowledge of warehouse and inventory management software
- Institute of Operations/Warehouse Management or similar
- Teamwork – to work well with others and foster a collaborative environment
- Leadership – able to motivate a team
- Import & export regulations, customs and compliance
- Safety knowledge – familiar with H&S within the warehouse operations
- Listening and communication
- Analysis – problem solving and getting to the root cause
- Continuous improvement – identify & implement process improvements
- Office Suite (data analytics, presentation)
Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements:
Site based in Sunderland with occasional travel to meet requirements of role.
