Job Summary

This Quality Engineering Technician position will interface with internal manufacturing, engineering, purchasing & vendors.

Maintain quality system requirements for ISO 9001, ATEX, and PED.

Be actively involved with continuous improvement activities across the business.

Responsibilities

  • Using Quality Tools for the Analysis of defects in materials and products.
  • Ensure that the quality assurance measures within the company procedures are adhered to at any stage of manufacture.
  • Support measurement / validation of samples.
  • Conduct goods inward sampling Inspections of vendor products to drawing / specifications.
  • Reviewing / processing vendor non-conforming product, raising rejections / debits & SCAR reports.
  • Maintenance of the calibration system (Internal / External calibration).
  • Generating company certificates Material certificates / Test certificates, Certificates of conformity.
  • Analysis of SNN Aftermarket / Warranty Returns and technical raise reports.
  • Undertake any other duties as may be reasonably required within the scope of the role.
  • Basic Qualifications
  • Apprentice, trained with minimum of 5 years working in an Engineering environment– Desirable.
  • Experience with ISO management systems and SAP– Desirable.
  • Able to work and contribute within a team – Essential.
  • Hands on approach – Essential.
  • Ability to understand/read engineering drawings – Essential.
  • Strong analytical and problem -solving skills – Essential.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word etc . – Essential .
  • Proficient in the use of small measurement equipment – Desirable.
  • Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements

Fully site based at our Margate Kent Facility.
