At Industrial Blower Services, we have provided air and gas moving solutions to our customers for over 3 decades. We were the UK’s largest independent blower specialist company before being acquired by Ingersoll Rand in 2021. We have ambitions and backing to grow significantly in the next few years and we need your help to achieve this.
Job Summary
In this role you will be responsible for the operation of a variety of manual and CNC machines including lathes, mills and grinders to produce and repair precision parts used in the repair of Blower and Pump systems. A good working knowledge in the usage of metrology equipment (predominantly imperial) is vital to the role.
Responsibilities
- The use of manual and CNC machines including lathes, mills and grinders to produce precision parts used in the repair of blower and vacuum pump systems (note that IBS carries out repairs to Blowers and Pumps so the role is largely manual machining).
- Measurement gathering using metrology equipment (predominantly in imperial).
- Thermal spraying and welding (training will be given here).
Basic Qualifications
- Recognised apprentice or vocational training qualification.
- Experience of working with machine tools and/or mechanical assemblies.
- Working knowledge of safety protocols.

- Fully site based.
- A passion for problem solving.
- Excellent coordination and mechanical skills.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy and safety.
- Self-motivation and the ability to be pro-active.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Maths.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Ability to lift up to 25Kg and perform repetitive tasks.
