Job Summary: Professional, Operations Service Manager to successfully manage our Centrifugal Services business in the UK & Ireland. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the entire service fulfillment processes, standards, operations and a team of Field Service Technicians in its goal of operational excellence. Responsibilities include but are not exhaustive to the operational & EHS aspects of running a service team; the achievement of specific financial objectives and for delivering and directing service projects, service agreements and emergency service work within the UK. The Service Manager manages all aspects of projects, from beginning to end, with direct responsibility for project execution while leading a team, or teams, to accomplish specific objectives in a given period effectively and efficiently using all available resources.

Responsibilities:

  • Build customer loyalty and retention through delivering innovative, customer-focused and value-added service.
  • Develop, and motivate a quality service team, developing skill sets and utilizing performance management tools to maximize employee engagement and to develop sustained superior performance.
  • Plan resources for ongoing service contracts and emergency service needs.
  • Manage performance by monitoring service personnel effectiveness and efficiency in relation to customer service and operating plan goals.
  • Manage EHS standards and behavior-based safety.
  • Maintain quality standards by supervising project-assigned staff and inspecting job sites.
  • Maintain customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective action, and communicating with customers and assigned staff.
  • Establish a professional relationship with the customer and interface constantly to maintain accurate status reports and project reviews.
  • Report finance projections.
  • Travel regularly with some overnight travel.

Basic Qualifications: Degree/equivalent or technical school; four (4) to ten (10) years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Working knowledge of office equipment and Microsoft Office products. Compressed Air Systems knowledge.

Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements: Position requires travel both domestically and occasionally internationally.

Key Competencies:

  • Experience in compressed air industry.
  • Working knowledge of EHS processes, documentation, Risk Assessments, Method Statements and Personal Safety.
  • Friendly approach with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to function with minimal supervision.
  • Role requires direct customer contact; must be confident, courteous and professional in all situations with sound judgment and capability to operate with a high level of autonomy.
  • MS Office skills – proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word essential.
  • Experience with finance forecasting.
