The opportunity has arisen to join the Ingersoll Rand family, we are looking for an experienced compressed air field based service technician to join the team. Responsible for maintenance, breakdowns & commissioning on reciprocating compressed air equipment. The role will cover the UK, Ireland, worldwide with extensive travel and overnight stays. The ideal candidate will have experience in all types of compressed air technology with detailed knowledge of high pressure reciprocating compressors.
Responsibilities
- To attend customer’s site to perform preventative maintenance on all compressed air generating equipment.
- To attend customer’s site to perform the mechanical installation of compressors, receivers and pressure reduction systems, including the construction and installation of high pressure ring main systems.
- To attend customers site to perform breakdown repairs on all compressed air generating equipment.
- Request parts on a timely basis to enable a proper workflow.
- Supporting the sales team on installation visits and formulating parts required.
- Inform co-ordination of any completed work in a timely manner to enable the allocation of the next job avoiding any lost time.
- Advise any potential new business in Service or Sales through the appropriate channel.
- Extensive travel in UK and Ireland, plus some travel overseas.
Basic Qualifications
- Proven diagnostic skills on complicated electrical/mechanical systems.
- Extensive product knowledge within the compressed air industry.
- PC literate.
- Full Clean driving licence.
Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements
- Field based.
