Job Summary: We are seeking an innovative and meticulous Design Engineer to undertake mechanical engineering activities, collaborate with our expert teams, and ensure safe, robust, and value-engineered mechanical designs for our world‑leading Ejector systems and process packages.
Responsibilities:
- Undertake mechanical engineering activities as required for studies, projects, and consultancy.
- Collaborate as part of the mechanical engineering team.
- Ensure safe and robust value‑engineered mechanical designs for all products and process packages.
- Perform 3D modelling for Transvac Ejectors, Silencers, and associated equipment.
- Design full system packages including Ejectors, vessels, structural skid base frames, pipework runs, and pneumatic/electrical hookups.
- Generate comprehensive design drawings (General Arrangement, Assembly, detailed manufacture drawings, Sub‑assembly isometrics, etc.).
- Generate bills of material for procurement and hydrostatic testing.
- Interact frequently with various engineering disciplines and departments.
- Support the Mechanical Department team and check CAD design engineers' and contractors' drawings.
- Support the Mechanical Design Assurance team.
- Participate in personal development training including Transvac internal operating systems, health and safety, and quality assurance.
Basic Qualifications:
- Accredited mechanical engineering degree (MEng/MSc preferred, or BEng/BSc with excellent engineering principles).
- Attention to detail, a curious mind, and creative thinking.
- Ability to build good working relationships and collaborate effectively.
- Resourceful problem solver with an innovative mind.
- Focused on deadlines and targets with good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Understanding of basic manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in MS Office and Excel.
- Right to Work in the UK.
