Responsibilities:
- Running and monitoring CNC machines
- Routinely checking and monitoring Machine Shop throughput/efficiencies
- Support implementation of 5S activities throughout the machining areas
- Comply with all the organisations HSEQ policy and procedure requirements - including Risk Assessments, PPE Instructions and other Safe Working Instructions.
- Conduct pre-use visual checks on machines prior to commencing work.
- Check condition of cables of equipment prior to commencing work activities.
- Maintain a clean and tidy work area before, during and after completing work.
- Examine own work, checking for defects to ensure conformance with drawings and specifications
- Record work activity on Production packs (and any other documentation as and when instructed).
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years working with CNC Lathes and/or Milling machines
- Minimum of 3 years setting experience
- Experience using Mazak CNCs desirable
- The ability to work in both Metric & Imperial units.
- An understanding of drawings / technical data
- Ability to work as part of a team and liaise with personnel at all levels;
