What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Managing multidisciplinary assignments with technical, commercial, and financial oversight
  • Producing and overseeing the technical delivery of detailed design, design checks, and advanced analysis including FEM (e.g. PLAXIS, Z-soil)
  • Mentoring junior engineers and supporting their Chartership journey
  • Supporting business development by contributing to proposals and developing client relationships
  • Driving excellence and consistency across our technical outputs
  • Working closely with other disciplines in a collaborative, cross‑functional environment

Qualifications:

  • A degree in civil engineering plus a postgraduate qualification in geotechnics or engineering geology
  • Chartered status
  • Experience on major infrastructure, transportation or energy projects, both in the UK and internationally
  • Strong experience in geotechnical and engineering geological processes and design, with expertise in interpreting complex data, advanced numerical modelling, and delivery to construction
  • Strong hands‑on design capability in areas such as deep foundations, earthworks, retaining structures, soil and rock slope stability, and seismic analysis
  • Proficiency with geotechnical software (e.g., 2D and 3D PLAXIS, WALLAP, SlopeW, LPile, gINT)
  • A collaborative approach, with a focus on successful delivery for our clients and a desire to support others’ growth
