We’re looking for a passionate and technically sharp Civil Structural Engineer to join our talented Birmingham team and make a real impact.

As a Senior Bridge Engineer, you’ll not only be designing cutting-edge structures but also helping to drive business growth and manage multidisciplinary teams. Here’s a snapshot of what you’ll be involved in:

  • Leading and undertaking assignments across the UK and internationally; delivering on time, on budget, and to the highest standards.
  • Undertaking structural design and analysis using high-end analysis and design software across a broad range of structural types and using various international standards.
  • Assisting in the management of the design process that may include other related design disciplines.
  • Coordinating design as part of an internal team and liaising with external associated professionals and our clients.
  • Managing project time, budgets, and resources, ensuring everything stays on track.
  • Overseeing and mentoring junior engineers, supporting their professional development and Chartership progress.
  • Collaborating with internal and external teams in a cross-functional environment.

We need a strong technical engineer with leadership capabilities who is ready to make an impact on some of the world’s most exciting and complex projects. Ideally, you’ll bring:

  • A Chartered Civil Engineer qualification with a postgraduate qualification in a relevant subject.
  • Working knowledge of structural processes and design, with a particular emphasis on data interpretation, design & analysis, construction and advanced numerical modelling.
  • Extensive knowledge of Eurocodes and other national and international industry standards, contracts, methodologies, procedures and best practice.
  • Experience working on major bridge construction and modern bridge erection works and construction techniques would be considered advantageous.
  • Experience with structural analysis software like LUSAS, Midas, RM Bridge.
  • Strong communication skills, with a talent for producing clear, high-quality written work.
  • The ability to thrive in fast‑paced environments, handling changing priorities while keeping quality high.
  • A collaborative approach, with a focus on successful delivery for our clients.
