Are you ready to lead the charge on groundbreaking projects? We are seeking a Principal Engineer to grow our team to help deliver our pipeline of projects for 2026 and beyond. We’re looking for a Principal Engineer - Industrial Buildings to join our dynamic London team and take a leading role in delivering high-profile projects across the globe.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Lead and undertake assignments in the UK and overseas on large, complex buildings and/or infrastructure projects.
  • Undertake structural design and analysis using finite element analysis and design software across a broad range of structural types, including industrial buildings or infrastructure schemes, using various international standards.
  • Monitor staff time and budgets against assignment programme and agree appropriate actions where necessary.
  • Assist in the management of the design process that may include other related design disciplines.
  • Assist with coordinating design as part of an internal team and liaising with external associated professionals and our clients.
  • Assist in the planning and organisation of resources, to maximise fee income and resource utilisation.
  • Assist and support the development and maintenance of a high level of technical capability to deliver the service offerings targeted.
  • Adopt procedures for standardisation of work products and deliverables, and peer review to ensure consistency and excellence in service delivery of the Company’s technical work product.

Qualifications:

  • A Chartered Engineer qualification.
  • Structural Engineering Consultancy experience on large, complex buildings and/or infrastructure projects.
  • Working knowledge of structural processes and design, with a particular emphasis on data interpretation, design & analysis, construction and advanced numerical modelling.
  • Experience in concrete and steel design of buildings, connections, heavy civils, infrastructure projects.
  • Extensive knowledge of Eurocodes and other national and international industry standards, contracts, methodologies, procedures and best practice.
  • Experience of structural analysis/finite element software (e.g. LUSAS, MIDAS) for structures and design of structural elements in common materials i.e. steel, concrete, composite, and fibre reinforced concrete.
  • Familiarity with managing projects involving 3D BIM.
  • Experience predominantly in large-scale, high-profile buildings or infrastructure projects for a range of Clients in various construction market sectors.
