As an After-School Associate Teacher, you will report to the Out-of-School Time Manager. At Ingenuity Prep, our Associate Teacher assists our After School Lead Teachers in providing comprehensive after-school programming to provide fun, informative, and impactful extracurricular activities for students in grades Pre-K 3 through 8th grade.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

The core responsibilities of an After School Associate Teacher at Ingenuity Prep include:

• Assist the Lead Teacher in preparing and executing club activities and lessons.
• Provide individualized support to students, helping them with tasks and ensuring their active participation.
• Aid in maintaining an organized and positive classroom environment.
• Help prepare and distribute materials and resources needed for club activities.
• Monitor student behavior and engagement, providing feedback to the Lead Teacher.
• Work collaboratively with the Lead Teacher and other staff to enhance the club experience.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

Ingenuity Prep After School Associate Teacher might be the right fit for you if:

• You must meet one of the following education qualifications:
  • Child Development Associate (CDA)
  • Associate\’s Degree (or higher) in any subject area
  • Completion of at least 60 credit hours in any subject area
  • State-awarded certificate comparable to CDA approved by the OSSE
  • High school diploma or equivalent, provided you earn a CDA within two years of your hire as an Associate Teacher.
• You must take and pass a drug test prior to your employment due to the funding of this program through a child-care subsidy.
• Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Enthusiasm for supporting student learning and development.

ADDITIONAL ROLE-SPECIFIC INFORMATION

• Compensation: $23.90 per hour
