The Role

The Senior Security Consultant reports to the Practice Lead and is an essential role in ensuring the Ingentive team and clients can conduct their business efficiently through the adoption of Microsoft 365 products. You will provide technical knowledge and experience of the Microsoft 365 security tools that we implement and configure to provide our clients with a confidence that their environment is well designed and protected. You will be able to assess and recommend appropriate use of Microsoft 365 products to meet a client’s needs or problems, propose/design effective and efficient solutions, and implement these. You will work within a project team and assist in the communication with all stakeholders about the benefits of each solution, the timescales, and project progress.

Essential Expertise:

  • At least 3 year+ experience in delivering innovative Microsoft security solutions for clients, cross industry sectors.
  • At least 3 Microsoft certifications (relating to Azure-AZ, Security-SC, Power Platform-PL, Modern Work-MS and Copilot/AI).
  • Excellent consulting, design and delivery of Microsoft Defender suite and SIEM/XDR.
  • Effective technical hands-on experience configuring/implementing products such as Microsoft Azure, Entra & Purview.
  • Accomplished in designing and implementing M365 security technologies, based on above, with little support from senior teammates.
  • Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and training to client end-users.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent presenting skills to gain support and trust of clients.
  • Excellent documentation to ensure solutions are well defined in line with Ingentive processes.

Desirable Expertise:

  • Good understanding of Microsoft Fabric, Dynamics 365 and Power Platform technologies.
  • Experience in configuring and deploying Copilot solutions.
  • Knowledge and experience in quality assurance practises.
  • Assisting in delivery of Microsoft funded workshops (xIAD, Copilot/AI, etc)
  • Good partner relationship management to ensure Ingentive can implement full suite of Microsoft security solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Designing and delivering M365 solutions for clients and ensure Ingentive processes (ISO, etc.) are practiced.
  • Providing support to internal and customer solutions that Ingentive have implemented.
  • Actively participating in presales activities and building relationships with clients.
  • Providing support and supporting the adoption of internal process and controls.
  • Building relationships with key Ingentive stakeholders, 3rd party vendors and Microsoft.
  • Mentoring peer teammates within team.
  • Provide updates technology advancements to internal audience and clients, and how these affect cloud and security solutions.

Quality Measures:

Your performance will be measured against the achievement of targets, against the objectives and responsibilities listed above, and against the following standard criteria:

  • Deliverables will be delivered on time, on budget and within the defined quality and acceptance criteria.
  • Consistent delivery of quality work in line with hours planned, estimated and agreed upon in sprint planning.
  • Record time accurately using timers or accurate manual tracking in Ingentive’s time keeping system.
  • Client satisfaction with the delivery process, reviewed via ongoing dialogue with clients during, service reviews, project board meetings and through feedback forms.
  • Conformity to the security process and Ingentive cloud practices, measured continuously through feedback from teammates and delivery reporting.
  • Quality of reporting provided to leadership in line with set KPI’s.
  • System outages and response times, as well as robustness of monitoring and security in place.
  • Behaviour in line with the company values.
