The Role
The Project Manager reports to the Director of Operations and is part of the Professional Services Team. You will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of solutions within Ingentive for our clients.
You will lead teams of developers and consultants and collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure the efficient implementation of projects. This role requires you to demonstrate ownership of project deliverables and commitment to quality, on time, on-budget delivery and will deliver regular communication and reporting to keep project stakeholders (internal and external) up to date on all aspects of your projects.
Essential Expertise:
- Proven experience in leading and delivering technology projects, in a customer facing role
- Strong project management skills with expertise in planning, executing, and monitoring projects using industry-standard methodologies.
- Detailed approach to project management tools, such as MS Project or similar with appropriate rigor for management of costs, resources and the project activities.
- Clear understanding of the software development lifecycle and delivering a plan to this using the appropriate methodology
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of successfully resolving complex technology-related challenges.
- Proven experience in budgeting and financial management principles, with the ability to manage project budgets and track expenses.
- Professional certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).
- Relevant degree or equivalent experience ideally in a technical discipline
- Ability to provide innovative ideas and solutions and drive continuous improvement.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills including the ability and confidence to present complex ideas clearly to technical and business clients.
- Effective facilitation and negotiation skills including reaching consensus and managing conflict.
- Outstanding organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to switch tasks easily.
- A positive, proactive, and can-do attitude.
Desirable Expertise:
- Experience of working as part of a Scrum team or similar Agile discipline.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure DevOps is desirable
- Proven experience in Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (F&O)
Responsibilities:
On a daily basis your varied role will include, but will not be limited to:
- Successfully plan, execute and monitor technical projects from initiation to completion, adhering to timelines, budgets and quality standards.
- Provide guidance, mentorship and motivation to your team
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders
- Delivering good quality and regular communication both internally and externally.
- Actively monitoring and managing project issues, providing early mitigation of risks to ensure right first-time delivery within the budget and timescales.
- Working closely with the Head of Project Management and Heads of Delivery Teams to plan project resourcing.
- Ensuring chargeable and non-chargeable project work is monitored and well managed.
- Keeping time recording up to date to enable accurate revenue reporting.
- Being an escalation point for your teams and clients.
- Project reporting on active projects and inputting into financial forecasting.
- Proactively ensuring the team is aware of client escalations.
- Working closely with the sales team and senior technical resources in a project delivery pre-sales capacity to help evaluate sales opportunities and secure new business.
- Working with the sales team to ensure all revenue opportunities from existing clients are optimised and tracked.
- Organising and prioritising your own workload appropriately, reporting risks and exceptions to the relevant manager.
- Contributing to the strategy and growth of the team through team meetings/process and documentation and actively suggesting improvements to your line manager.
- Working and collaborating with clients and the Ingentive team to share knowledge and deliver consistent, cohesive solutions to clients on time and on budget.
- Supporting best practice in Ingentive, including conformance to and continuous improvement of relevant Quality Management System (QMS) processes and templates.
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, and apply that knowledge to enhance project delivery processes and methodologies.
