Warehouse & Logistics Operative / Driver to join their busy logistics team.
This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same.
You'll play a key part in ensuring goods are received, stored, picked, packed and dispatched accurately, while supporting deliveries and maintaining a safe, organised warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Goods Out
- Pick and prepare customer orders accurately from digital and printed picking lists.
- Pack products securely using appropriate packaging materials to prevent damage in transit.
- Label shipments correctly and prepare orders for dispatch.
- Stage completed orders for courier collection and vehicle loading.
- Goods In
- Safely unload deliveries using appropriate warehouse equipment.
- Inspect incoming goods for damage and report any discrepancies.
- Check deliveries against purchase orders and delivery notes.
- Book stock into the warehouse management system accurately.
- Stock Control
- Store products safely and efficiently within the warehouse.
- Carry out stock counts and inventory checks to maintain high levels of accuracy.
- Ensure stock is labelled correctly and managed using FIFO principles where applicable.
- Driving & Logistics
- Drive company vehicles for local deliveries and transfers between sites as required.
- Assist with loading vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Complete daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects.
- Warehouse Operations
- Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet trucks (where certified).
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping across the warehouse.
- Follow all Health & Safety, manual handling and COSHH procedures.
- General Duties
- Respond professionally to internal and external enquiries relating to stock and deliveries.
- Support the Logistics Manager and Warehouse team with any additional duties as required.
About You
We're looking for someone who is reliable, organised and enjoys working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
You'll ideally have
- Previous warehouse, stores or logistics experience.
- A full UK driving licence.
- Good attention to detail with the ability to work accurately.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic IT skills and confidence using warehouse management systems.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to get involved in all aspects of warehouse operations.
Desirable
- Counterbalance and/or Reach Forklift licence.
- Experience using barcode scanners or warehouse management systems.
