Ingenio is partnering with a global leader in digital identity and trust technology to appoint an EMEA Regulatory Consultant. This is an opportunity to sit at the intersection of regulation, innovation, financial crime prevention and product strategy—helping businesses navigate some of the most complex compliance challenges across Europe and the UK. Our client supports organisations globally with customer onboarding, identity verification, fraud prevention and regulatory compliance solutions, serving regulated businesses across financial services, fintech, payments, marketplaces and digital assets.
As their EMEA Regulatory Consultant, you'll be the regulatory voice influencing product development, commercial strategy and thought leadership across the region.
What you'll be doing:
- Acting as the subject matter expert on AML, CTF, KYC, KYB, sanctions and financial crime regulation
- Providing expertise on PSD2 and wider EU and UK payments frameworks
- Monitoring, analysing and interpreting regulatory developments across EMEA
- Partnering with Product and Engineering teams to ensure solutions align with regulatory expectations
- Translating complex legislation into practical business and product guidance
- Supporting thought leadership initiatives and representing the business at industry forums and events
What we're looking for:
- 8–15+ years' experience in AML, financial crime compliance, payments regulation or regulatory advisory
- Deep understanding of EU and UK regulatory frameworks
- Experience within financial services, fintech, payments, crypto or other regulated sectors
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to distil complex regulatory developments into clear, actionable insights
- Confidence influencing senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams
Nice to have:
- CAMS or equivalent certifications
- Experience with DORA, DSA, eIDAS or digital identity regulation
- Previous exposure to RegTech or compliance technology environments
- Public speaking, thought leadership or industry engagement experience
