Ingenio is working with one of the largest Insurance brands globally to hire the first in-house Databricks resource. They are looking for a candidate with strong development experience in Databricks. You will help to migrate existing on-prem applications to cloud (Azure preferred), create and maintain new data applications, while working with a global team based across Europe & the US.

As a Databricks Engineer you will:

  • Design & Develop custom high throughput and configurable frameworks
  • Drive change through collaboration, influence and demonstration of POCs
  • Be responsible for all aspects of the software development lifecycle, including design, coding, integration testing, deployment, and documentation

You’ll have:

  • Appropriate & current Databricks certifications & accreditations
  • Experience performing data analysis and data exploration
  • Exposure/understanding of DevOps best practice
  • Strong knowledge on Databricks SQL/Scala - Data engineering pipeline
  • Strong experience in Unix, Python and complex SQL
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong hands-on experience in troubleshooting DevOps pipelines and Azure services
  • Bachelor’s Degree level qualification in a computer science or IT related subject
  • 3+ years of overall Bigdata data pipeline experience
  • 2+ years of Databricks hands-on experience
  • 3+ years of experience on cloud-based development including Azure Services, Azure DevOps, Kubernetes, Docker
  • Experience on Snowflake is a plus
