At Ingenico, trust and sustainability are at the heart of everything we do.This position is responsible for supporting the pre- and post-sales and integration needs of our clients. They work closely with Account Executives and Account Managers to provide technical product integration support to the sales team. The Solutions Engineer is the technical liaison between customers and internal departments including product management, marketing, sales, service, QA, and software development.They gather and assess functional, technical and business requirements to understand how to best implement Ingenico products and services. The candidate can perform technical and sales related activities at customer locations independent of sales executives, which may include customer presentations and product demonstrations. This position requires up to 30% travel in the UK and Germany and is fully remote; the ideal candidate can be based anywhere in the UK or Germany.Responsibilities Field support of customer integrations and act as the primary interface for ISV Android product integrationImplementation and support of Ingenico Hardware & Software Payment SolutionsCollaborate with 3rd party financial solution providers to resolve technical integration issuesProvide product training to customers and partnersAnalyze customer requirements and recommend best practices & solutionsProvide sales support to account executives with presentations, whiteboard sessions, and technical demonstrationsSupport existing client base in problem determination, resolution, and product upgradeParticipate in sales meetings and industry-related eventsRecommend product enhancements and provide customer feedback to product managementAid in testing and piloting of new hardware and softwareWork with QA and software engineering on problem recreation and resolutionBring technical expertise on Ingenico\’s multi-lane product suite and integration kitsCollaborate with sales, product, software development and QA to accelerate product integrationProvide input to Technical Services and Software Development to accelerate evolution of Ingenico multilane integration kitsQualifications and Skills Development-level experience in Android, Java, and C#In-depth knowledge of API integrationProficient in secure payment solutionsProficient in troubleshooting and problem resolutionTechnical experience with driver solutions, PC installations and understanding of POS workflowsProject management, time management and task prioritization skillsAnalytical capabilities and leadership skills including experience managing customer expectationsStrong written and verbal communication skills in customer settings and with internal managementAbility to establish solid business relationships and work effectively in a teamAbility to communicate business needs to technical people and to simplify complex technical information for non-technical audiencesTechnical and Non-technical Skills Understanding of encryption standards and concepts in secure payments (Master/Session, DUKPT, DES and Triple DES)Experience with EMV certification and integrationUnderstanding of security requirements in payments (PABP, PCI-PED, PCI-DSS)Hardware experience with POS peripherals, PCs, servers and common POS retail workstationsUnderstanding of wireless protocols and conceptsUnderstanding of various payment device interfaces (OPOS, JPOS, IBM EFT)Experience with graphics generation/manipulation toolsExperience with Java development environment preferredSoftware: MS Word, Excel, Project, Visio, PowerPointStrong communication, cross-functional teamwork, product management and product marketing skillsAs part of our values, we embrace diversity and inclusion at Ingenico.
