A summary of the role
- Management accounting role with elements of internal reporting, financial planning, analysis, financial compliance, decision-support, business support
- Support 5 legal entities based in the UK, Germany, and Switzerland
- Reporting to the Head of Finance
- Based in Dalgety Bay, Fife, Scotland
- We are flexible in our way of working and strongly encourage a hybrid model of part office/part remote (office 2 days per week)
- Assisting in month-end closing activities including reporting, variance analysis, KPI’s, spend reporting, profitability i.e. understand the P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow
- Support the Budget and Forecast exercises
- Financial analysis including business cases and pricing requests
- Identify trends, risks and opportunities within the business
- Develop & improve reporting tools, models, and dashboards and general process improvements
- Business Partner with non-finance teams to provide financial insights & challenge assumptions
- Comply with internal controls and general financial compliance requirements
- Support internal and external audit activity
Desired Skills and Abilities
- Qualified Accountant with 1-2 years post-qual experience
- Good working knowledge of both UK and International Accounting and Financial Reporting Standards
- Very strong knowledge of Excel
- Must be a quick learner, pro-active, well organised and self- motivated
- Collaborative and team orientated
- Good communication skills at all levels within the organisation
- Ability to use initiative and self-starter
- Knowledge of SAP would be an advantage
- Previous experience of working in the Finance function within a large international Group
