The Financial Markets (FM) landscape is rapidly going through a process of digitisation, at the core of which is eTrading. eTrading at ING covers all products traded in ING FM. These span from the very liquid and electronic products (cash equities, futures, commodities and FX), Fixed Income products (corporate and government bonds) which are in the process of becoming electronic due to balance sheet reduction and regulation, to the less liquid and less electronic derivative products. Data is core to eTrading and eTrading also covers the data and business intelligence strategy.
Fixed income eTrading sits inside financial markets trading and comprises a team of developers and quants.
Main Duties and Responsibilities of Role
The Quant Developer will be part of the Fixed Income eTrading team and will be responsible for bringing to production the new generation of algorithms and pricing logic at ING.

Candidate Profile
Qualification/Education
- Degree in quantitative subject e.g. Maths, Physics, Computer Science or Engineering
Experience/Knowledge
Essential:
- 3 years' experience developing algorithms;
- Strong development skills (Java);
- Experience with Rates trading frameworks;
- Experience in pricing and algorithmic trading of Interest Rate derivatives and Bonds
Desirable:
- Experience with Python data science stack and KDB+/Q;
- Understanding of Fixed Income pricing and risk, yield curve modelling;
- Code integration with vendors such as ION/Broadway and D2C markets;
- Low latency frameworks and protocols e.g., FIX, Aeron, LMAX, pub-sub, messaging buses etc.
