We are a fast-growing SaaS company based in Manchester, developing cutting-edge software products that solve real-world problems at scale. With a strong focus on innovation, reliability, and user experience, we are looking to expand our core engineering team with a highly experienced Principal Typescript/Node.js Developer to lead technical decisions and shape the future of our platform.
As a Principal Developer, you will play a key leadership role in the design, development, and delivery of high-performance SaaS solutions. You will collaborate closely with engineering, product, and DevOps teams to ensure technical excellence, guide architectural decisions, and mentor fellow developers. This is a hybrid role, with 1-2 days per week required in our Manchester office.
- Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of scalable back-end systems using TypeScript and Node.js
- Champion best practices in code quality, performance, and security
- Work cross-functionally with product, DevOps, and design teams
- Help define and evolve the overall system architecture, contributing to long-term technical strategy
- Extensive commercial experience with TypeScript and Node.js
- Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and relational database design
- Experience with Docker and containerised application development
- Strong AWS experience will also be considered
- Proven ability to design and scale high-performance SaaS applications
- Familiarity with front-end frameworks (React, Next.js, etc.)
Competitive salary of £90,000-£100,000. Flexible hybrid working (1-2 days in our Manchester office). Clear career progression and technical leadership opportunities.
