We are seeking an experienced Technology Business Partner to provide strategic technology leadership across a major business division within a large, enterprise-level organisation. This is a senior, highly visible role for someone with a strong software engineering background, extensive experience in modern technology architecture and the ability to operate confidently with executive stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be hands-on and technically credible, while also being comfortable operating in a client-facing, consultancy-style environment.

The Role

  • You will act as a trusted technology adviser to senior business leaders, translating business objectives into practical technology strategies, roadmaps and measurable outcomes.
  • Working across both central technology functions and business-facing technology teams, you will help shape and deliver transformation initiatives involving software engineering, microservices, cloud platforms, data, AI and machine learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with executive and senior business stakeholders to understand strategic priorities and technology requirements.
  • Shape technology strategies, roadmaps and transformation programmes.
  • Provide technical leadership across software engineering, architecture, cloud, data, AI and machine learning.
  • Advise on microservices architecture, modern engineering practices, integration and scalable enterprise platforms.
  • Work across centralised technology stacks and business-specific technology environments.
  • Lead and influence engineering, architecture, product, platform and delivery teams.
  • Support AI-enabled modernisation, automation and continuous improvement.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear business language.
  • Drive delivery excellence, governance, operational resilience and measurable business outcomes.
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams, external partners and technology vendors.

About You

  • Around 10 years' experience in software engineering, technology leadership or enterprise technology consulting.
  • A strong software development background with hands-on technical credibility.
  • Extensive experience with microservices architecture, cloud-native platforms and enterprise systems.
  • Practical experience across AI, machine learning, data platforms or AI-enabled transformation.
  • Experience working across both central technology functions and business-led technology teams.
  • Experience working with executive-level stakeholders and influencing strategic decisions.
  • The ability to communicate technical concepts clearly using strong business language.
