Purpose Of Job
This role is a fantastic opportunity to play a major part in the companys growth within the North West, working alongside a heavily experienced and supportive team.
The Business Development Manager will be allocated sales territory within the region and a selection of key accounts.
The successful candidate will be responsible for making sure that all sales and revenue generation opportunities are fully utilized, taking full responsibility and accountability for sales and gross profitability within the territory.
The right individual will be familiar with the North West region and be able to identify opportunities within the territory.
They are seeking a highly driven individual to take on the opportunity and challenge themselves to become a core part of our business.
Key Responsibilities
- To secure profitable new customers focusing on key target sectors including ecommerce, engineering & manufacturing, automotive and fulfilment & distribution.
- Manage and develop sales growth and profitability within territory.
- Building sustainable relationships with key decision makers and influencers within customer accounts.
- Negotiate long-term agreements with both new and existing accounts.
- Generation and development of own leads.
- Meet yearly and monthly sales and gross profit expectations.
- The development of profitability through value added sales.
- Ownership of enquiries involving sourcing and product development.
Skills & Competences
- Robust track record of achieving sales and gross profit targets within a field sales roll.
- They are looking for a tenacious sales individual with a strong focus on new business development.
- Field sales experience and overall knowledge within the packaging sector would be of preference however knowledge in a similar industry and customer base would be considered MRO, PPE, Freight, etc.
- A good understanding of the challenges faced around packaging within our customers operations and to coherently communicate a brief with the team internally to develop value added solutions.
- A clear understanding of customer requirements to enable managing and maintaining strong relationships, ensuring customer retention and sales growth.
- Ability to identify any issues in client relationship and implement corrective actions through regular reviews.
- Ability to present packaging solutions to clients and prospects in a clear and concise manner.
- To show leadership and play a key role in ensuring the business provides ultimate levels of customer service.
- Monitors and manages own time to ensure objectives are met.
