2nd Line Support Engineer in Coventry

Overview

2nd Line Technical Engineer – M365, Sophos – Coventry - £30k - £36k. This role is with an established MSP that offers strong training, development, and a clear career path. The successful candidate will be part of an expanding service team, delivering hands-on technical support to a range of customers across the Microsoft ecosystem with frequent client-site visits.

What you’ll be doing

• Deliver 2nd line support via phone, remote tools and onsite visits
• Support Microsoft 365 environments – Intune, SharePoint, Exchange, Teams
• Work with Sophos for endpoint and firewall security
• Use ConnectWise as the central service desk platform
• Visit client sites 1–2 days per week for setups, PC installs or firewall deployments
• Support 1st line colleagues and mentor more junior engineers
• Log tickets, create documentation, and contribute to the internal knowledge base

What you’ll need

• Experience with Microsoft 365 admin, Windows OS, basic networking, and endpoint security
• Familiarity with Sophos and ConnectWise (or similar tools)
• Strong customer service mindset – confident, friendly, and proactive
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel locally to customer sites
• Eligible for BPSS clearance
