We're looking for an experienced Technical Network Architect who enjoys staying close to the technology.

This is an architecture-led role where you'll own solution design, work directly with customers, and remain hands-on with the delivery of complex networking projects.

This isn't a pre-sales architecture position.

You'll be working alongside customers throughout the project lifecycle, translating business requirements into robust technical solutions, producing high and low-level designs, and leading the delivery of the more technically challenging elements of each deployment.

If you're someone who enjoys designing enterprise network solutions but still wants to get involved in the implementation and see your designs come to life, this is an excellent opportunity.

The Role

  • Design enterprise networking solutions across a broad customer base.
  • Produce High-Level and Low-Level Designs (HLDs & LLDs).
  • Act as the technical authority throughout project delivery.
  • Lead the delivery of complex network implementations and migrations.
  • Work closely with customers to understand requirements and develop scalable, resilient architectures.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to Project Engineers.
  • Ensure solutions are delivered in line with best practice and customer expectations.
  • Attend customer sites across London when required, with the remainder of your time based from the Hertfordshire office.
  • Technology

You’ll have strong experience across several of the following

  • Cisco Enterprise LAN & Campus Networking
  • Cisco Catalyst Switching
  • Cisco Wireless
  • Ruckus Wireless
  • Huawei Networking
  • Enterprise Routing & Switching
  • Network Security fundamentals
  • Network Design & Architecture
  • Complex network migrations and refresh projects
  • Highly Desirable

Experience with GPON (Gigabit Passive Optical Networks) including

  • OLT (Optical Line Terminal)
  • ONT (Optical Network Terminal)
  • Fibre access network design and deployment
  • Passive optical network architecture

About You

CCNP Enterprise as a minimum, with CCIE (or working towards) highly desirable.

Proven experience as a Technical Architect, Network Architect or Senior Network Consultant.

Strong customer-facing consulting experience.

Comfortable leading technical workshops and architecture discussions.

Able to translate customer requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Happy remaining hands-on and leading the delivery of technically complex implementations.

Strong documentation skills, including HLDs, LLDs and technical standards.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

If you're looking for an architecture role where you can continue working with the technology, influence solution design, and lead complex enterprise networking projects from concept through to delivery, we'd love to hear from you.
