The Role
The Driver Facilities role is responsible for the safe and timely delivery and collection of stock between company locations and field operations.
The position plays a key part in ensuring that materials and equipment are transported efficiently to support business activities.
In addition to transportation duties, the Driver Facilities representative regularly interacts with customer staff and employees from various IGL departments.
This requires strong communication skills, professionalism, and a customer-focused approach to maintain positive working relationships and ensure smooth coordination of deliveries and collections.
Key Responsibilities
- To comply with all Road Traffic Legislation.
- Safe and secure vehicle Loading
- To Deliver Materials to Building sites in a safe & hygienic manner
- To Observe Site regulations.
- To review material supplies before and after delivery to ensure orders are complete and correct.
- To Photograph Orders left on site.
- To Keep a clean and tidy vehicle.
- To complete DAILY vehicle checks in accordance with company procedures
- To complete DAILY trailer checks in accordance with company procedures
- To report promptly report all vehicle / trailer / equipment faults.
- To collect surplus materials from site.
- To collate surplus materials for third party drivers, should quantities be to great to be carried by the driver.
- To make note of, report and photograph surplus materials left on site
- To complete any paperwork, reports, or application as provided by the company to record deliveries, collections
- To comply with Health and Safety Legislation at all times.
- To participate in team meetings
- From time to time Service Drivers may be required to work in the capacity of warehouse operative.
- What You'll Need
- A full driving licence with B+E entitlement.
- Experience in driving and safely transporting stock, equipment, or materials.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and internal departments.
- Good organizational and time-management skills to manage deliveries and collections efficiently.
- Awareness of health and safety procedures and road traffic regulations.
