Job Summary:
Infrassocs is currently partnered with a leading project finance bank at the heart of the energy transition. Our client are currently busy across an active portfolio and are looking to add a driven candidate to join their growing team. The team have a full deal pipeline across across infrastructure, renewable energy, utilities, and related sectors. Our client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Finance Senior Associate to support the origination, structuring, execution, and portfolio management of project finance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the origination and execution of project finance transactions, including greenfield and brownfield projects in energy, infrastructure, and natural resources.
- Develop and maintain detailed financial models to assess project viability and support deal structuring and credit decisions.
- Prepare credit applications, investment memoranda, and internal presentations for deal approval processes.
- Conduct in-depth due diligence, including legal, technical, insurance, and environmental reviews, in collaboration with internal and external advisors.
- Assist in negotiation and review of financing documentation, including loan agreements, security packages, and intercreditor arrangements.
- Monitor and manage a portfolio of existing project finance loans, including ongoing credit analysis, waivers, amendments, and covenant monitoring.
- Liaise with clients, legal counsel, technical consultants, and other financial institutions throughout the transaction lifecycle.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory developments, and ESG-related considerations impacting the project finance market.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field; CFA or advanced degree (e.g., MBA) is a plus.
- 4–6 years of experience in project finance, corporate banking, or structured lending, preferably within an international financial institution or advisory firm.
- Strong familiarity with the energy (particularly renewables), infrastructure, and/or transportation sectors.
- Knowledge of project finance documentation, financial structuring, and key legal concepts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare high-quality materials for internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset to work effectively with diverse teams across regions and departments.
