Infrassocs is currently partnered with a global investment manager focused on infrastructure, with an active European mandate across core and core+ strategies. The team invests in assets and platforms across energy, utilities, transport and digital infrastructure, taking a long-term, entrepreneurial approach to ownership.
The London office is looking to hire an Investment Analyst to join a lean, deal-focused investment team. The role offers exposure across the full investment lifecycle, including origination, execution and ongoing portfolio and asset management. The Analyst will work closely with senior team members on live investments, financial modelling, due diligence and investment committee materials, as well as supporting portfolio companies post‐acquisition.
Key responsibilities
- Playing an active role in the monitoring and valuation of infrastructure investments alongside investment and company management teams
- Assist with the preparation and presentation of regular updates and reporting on development of portfolio investments
- Involvement in the preparation and provision of accurate and timely reporting, including asset valuations, to investors
- Carrying out portfolio data analysis and financial modelling
- Conducting relevant macroeconomic, industry, market and other research
- Providing fundraising support and responding to investor requests
- Opportunity to participate in the due diligence process, and preparation of investment recommendation papers for direct infrastructure and secondary infrastructure fund opportunities.
Additional responsibilities
The role will also offer the opportunity to provide investment and business support across the broader infrastructure business.
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in asset management, investment banking, corporate finance or consultancy ideally with a working knowledge of the infrastructure sector
- Highly analytical with experience of conducting financial analysis
- Self‐motivated with demonstrated ability to work in a team
- Ability to develop a network of industry contacts
- Strong communication skills (oral and written)
- A degree in a numerate subject such as economics, accounting, engineering or another such discipline
- Proficient and confident use of MS Office products
- Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage
