Senior Planner – HV Transmission & Substations
Location: Bridgewater - Hybrid
We are supporting a major infrastructure programme delivering critical upgrades to the UK’s electricity network as part of The Great Grid Upgrade. Due to continued growth, we are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Planner to support high-value transmission projects in the Heathrow / West London area. This role is also open to candidates operating at Planning Manager level.
This is a key role working across major high voltage (HV) infrastructure projects, supporting delivery from early design through to construction.
- Switchgear and cabling works
- Full lifecycle planning (design, tender, construction)
- Projects are delivered in partnership with organisations including: Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks and Tier 1 contractors
- Lead and manage project planning activities across multiple workstreams
- Interface with engineering, commercial and delivery teams
- Provide planning leadership across design, procurement and construction phases
- Support reporting, risk analysis and programme optimisation
Permanent: £90,000 – £120,000 depending upon experience
Contract: Competitive day rate
Contractors are welcome to apply. Hybrid working, remaining days remote.
Proven experience in HV / Transmission and Distribution projects
Strong planning capability using Primavera P6 or similar
Long-term pipeline of secured work
Exposure to complex, high-value energy projects
