We’re working with a bespoke consultancy looking to hire an experienced Senior / Lead Planner with a planning engineer background. This role suits someone who has worked with principal contractors and has strong NEC contract experience. This is a hands-on role where you’ll lead planning on major UK infrastructure projects and support clients with programme development, change, and risk.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading planning activities on infrastructure projects under NEC4 contracts
- Creating and managing programmes using Primavera P6 (including cost-loaded plans)
- Managing programme change, delays, and impacts
- Producing clear reports and programme analysis
- Working closely with delivery teams and senior stakeholders
- Supporting risk and mitigation planning
- Improving planning processes and best practice
What we’re looking for:
- Strong background in infrastructure or civil engineering planning
- Experience working for or alongside principal contractors
- Solid NEC4 contract knowledge
- Advanced Primavera P6 experience
- Commercially aware and confident communicating at senior level
