This is an opportunity for an experienced Senior Planner to take a central role within a large, live infrastructure environment, supporting the delivery of complex, high-value construction projects. Working across a diverse portfolio of works, you’ll see the direct impact of your planning expertise on operational assets and end users.
You’ll provide a full end-to-end planning service, operating at the heart of project delivery and collaborating closely with contractors, engineers, and project teams. The environment is fast-moving, technically challenging, and constantly evolving – ideal for a planner who enjoys variety, responsibility, and influence.
Typical projects range £50m+, spanning civils, airfield-style assets, facilities upgrades, and operational infrastructure. Alongside managing complex programmes, you’ll support and mentor junior planners and contribute to continual improvement across planning practices.
What you’ll be responsible for:
- Developing and managing robust, fully integrated delivery schedules
- Establishing clear logic, interfaces, and milestones to support successful project outcomes
- Monitoring programme performance, identifying critical paths, and developing recovery strategies
- Engaging with key stakeholders including contractors, project managers, engineers, and subcontractors
- Providing planning insight, challenge, and technical guidance to project teams
- Supporting risk identification, mitigation planning, and schedule assurance
- Producing clear, meaningful reporting to inform senior decision-making

- Proven experience as a Senior Planner on complex projects typically valued £20m–£50m+
- Strong capability using Primavera P6, MS Excel, and Microsoft Office tools
