Project Planner – Major Infrastructure Programme

London / Birmingham | Hybrid Working (2–3 days office)

Be at the heart of one of the UK’s most complex infrastructure programmes.

We’re hiring a Project Planner to support the successful delivery of a nationally significant transport scheme. Working within a consultancy-led project controls team, you’ll be responsible for building and maintaining robust programme schedules that drive performance and align with client objectives.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a strong planning foundation looking to step into a high-impact, high-visibility role on a major project.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and manage project schedules using Primavera P6, aligned to NEC contracts and project deliverables
  • Work closely with cost, risk, and delivery teams to integrate planning with overall programme controls
  • Monitor progress and provide analysis of key milestones, float, and critical paths
  • Support schedule assurance, baseline reviews, and change control processes
  • Produce high-quality reports and dashboards for internal and client stakeholders

What You Bring

  • Solid experience in planning on large infrastructure or transport projects
  • Proficiency with Primavera P6 and knowledge of planning best practices
  • Understanding of NEC3/NEC4 contracts and their impact on planning and reporting
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills — able to liaise with multiple delivery teams
  • Detail-focused, analytical mindset with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach
