This is a great opportunity for a Project Controls Engineer who wants to develop within a client-side environment supporting some of the UK’s most complex and high-profile infrastructure programmes. You’ll work closely with experienced delivery teams across sectors including transport, energy, utilities, and defence, gaining hands-on exposure where your contribution truly adds value.

The role is ideal for someone early in their project controls journey who’s keen to broaden their experience across planning, cost, risk, and performance, while being supported by strong mentoring and clear development pathways.

What you’ll be doing

• Developing and maintaining project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project
• Supporting cost control, forecasting, and earned value analysis
• Tracking programme performance and producing clear, accurate reports
• Assisting with risk, change control, and governance activities
• Collaborating with planners, cost engineers, and project managers
• Building well-rounded capability across the full project controls lifecycle

What we’re looking for

• Degree in engineering, construction, project management, or similar
• Around 2+ years’ experience in project controls, planning, or project support
• Exposure to NEC contracts and structured project environments
• Experience using P6 and/or MS Project, with strong Excel skills
• Analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with data
• Proactive mindset with a genuine interest in major infrastructure delivery
