Senior Planner – Major Highways programme – Scotland/ remote working
Salary £75,000 – £90,000 + car allowance + travel/ accommodation as required + benefits package.
An exciting opportunity for a Senior Construction Planner to join an established well-regarded contracting business involved in a major £150m+ highways scheme. The P6 master programme is created and accepted. The planner will be required to liaise with the delivery team and client representatives to ensure accurate reporting of the programme. It’s anticipated that regular site visits will be required but the role can be delivered from a regional office or remotely.
The successful applicant will have expertise on highways projects and have demonstrable NEC contract knowledge. The client has a large portfolio of current and future works and is open to a permanent long term career minded candidate and can consider a contractor.
The Role:
- As a Senior Planner you will be accountable for developing & maintaining the P6 construction programme.
- The ability to build/ re-baseline a programme from first principles using Primavera P6.
- Technical appraisal of construction labour, plant, materials and temporary works.
- The effective analysis of programme risks.
- Ability to negotiate compensation events and provide effective narrative.
- Produce programme what-if scenarios as appropriate.
- Civil engineering project experience in highways.
- Experience in a contractor organisation.
Salary £75,000 – £90,000 + car allowance + travel/ accommodation as required + benefits package.
