An established consultancy renowned for delivering planning expertise across major capital projects is looking to appoint a Senior Project Planner to support a growing portfolio of work across London.

Working across a range of complex programmes, you will join a highly regarded planning team that partners with clients, contractors, and delivery organisations to drive successful project outcomes through robust programme management and planning excellence.

As a Senior Project Planner, you will be responsible for developing and managing project schedules, providing programme insight, and supporting project teams through all phases of delivery. This is a role for someone who enjoys working directly with project teams, influencing programme strategy, and providing the planning expertise needed to support informed decision-making. You'll have the opportunity to work across multiple projects, gaining exposure to diverse delivery environments and major programmes.

  • Develop, maintain, and manage detailed project programmes throughout the project lifecycle
  • Provide planning support across a portfolio of projects and client commissions
  • Monitor progress against programme baselines and identify emerging risks and opportunities
  • Undertake critical path analysis and schedule performance reviews
  • Produce programme reports and planning outputs for project teams and stakeholders
  • Support programme governance, change management, and reporting activities
  • Ensure schedules align with contractual requirements, project objectives, and delivery strategies
  • Work closely with contractors, project managers, engineers, and commercial teams

Proven experience as a Project Planner or Senior Project Planner

Experience working within construction, civil engineering, data centre, infrastructure, or major project environments

Strong understanding of NEC contracts and programme management principles

Experience working for consultancies, contractors, or client-side organisations

Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6 or equivalent planning software

Self-sufficient, proactive, and comfortable operating within fast-paced project environments

Experience in delay analysis, schedule assurance, or project controls would be advantageous.
