A consultancy supporting a major UK energy infrastructure programme is seeking experienced Senior Project Planners to join their growing team. This role will involve supporting the planning and delivery of complex high-voltage infrastructure projects across the UK.
The successful candidate will work closely with project and delivery teams to develop, manage, and maintain project schedules across key energy infrastructure schemes. Typical projects include substations, overhead line infrastructure, and transmission and distribution networks.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules for major infrastructure programmes
- Support project delivery teams with planning, reporting, and schedule analysis
- Monitor project progress and provide accurate forecasting and performance updates
- Ensure planning outputs align with project milestones and delivery strategies
- Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and project stakeholders to maintain effective programme control
- Experience as a Planner or Senior Planner within infrastructure, construction, or energy sectors
- Previous involvement in high-voltage or power infrastructure projects, including substations, overhead lines, or transmission and distribution networks
- Strong understanding of NEC contract frameworks
- Experience working within contractor or infrastructure project environments
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 or similar project planning software
- Competitive salary of £70,000 – £85,000 or contract rate of £500 – £550 per day (Inside IR35)
