A leading consultancy supporting a major UK energy and infrastructure programme is seeking experienced Planning Managers to join their team. This role will be integral to the successful delivery of complex high-voltage energy projects across the UK. The position sits within a high-profile delivery environment focused on large-scale power and utilities infrastructure, including substations, overhead line systems, and transmission and distribution networks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee planning activities across major energy infrastructure programmes
  • Develop, maintain, and manage integrated project schedules
  • Coordinate planning functions across multidisciplinary project teams
  • Provide clear reporting and schedule analysis to support programme performance

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience as a Planning Manager or Lead Planner within infrastructure or energy sectors
  • Strong background in high-voltage projects, including substations, overhead lines, or transmission and distribution networks
  • Experience leading planning teams or managing planning across large programmes
  • Good understanding of NEC contract frameworks
  • Background working with contractors, utilities, or engineering consultancies
  • Proficiency with Primavera P6 or equivalent planning software
