Our client is a leading infrastructure investor with a broad portfolio of assets looking to recruit an experienced Quality Manager who will be responsible for leading quality management initiatives in alignment with ISO 9001, ensuring certification, compliance, and continuous improvement.

The Quality Manager will lead the programme for a high profile project in the North West of England. They will oversee quality assurance across the organisation and supply chain, monitor compliance with contractual requirements, and support related ISO management systems including ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 44001.

  • Developing, maintaining, and improving the Project’s Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Leading ISO 9001 certification, surveillance, and liaison with external auditors.
  • Monitoring supplier compliance and project KPIs to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Supporting business continuity planning and emergency preparedness.
  • Preparing, issuing, and reviewing corporate policies in line with legislation and organisational requirements.

ISO 9001 (Quality Management)

  • Manage and support the development of the QMS, ensuring ongoing certification and compliance.
  • Liaise with auditors and external advisers to collate evidence and conduct audits.

Quality Management & Compliance

  • Oversee delivery of quality-related matters including CAPA, supply chain oversight, and project KPIs.
  • Ensure compliance with clause 31 (Quality Assurance) of the Project Agreement.
  • Monitor adherence to QMS standards across the Project suppliers.

Business Continuity Planning

  • Implement, audit, and maintain a robust Business Continuity Plan (BCP) to ensure ongoing service resilience.
  • Review and update the BCP at least annually.
  • Prepare and issue corporate policies in line with legislative requirements and organisational needs.
  • Recommend amendments and updates for review and approval.

Support for Related ISO Systems

  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and maintenance of:
  • ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety)
  • ISO 44001 (Collaborative Business Relationship Management)

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Engineering, Quality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification or equivalent training in quality management systems.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience developing and maintaining quality management systems.
  • Knowledge of ISO standards (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 44001) and supply chain quality oversight.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in audits, compliance management, and reporting/documentation.
  • Competence in business continuity and emergency preparedness planning.
