Our client, a leading infrastructure investor, is seeking an experienced and strategic Head of PFI Lifecycle and Variations to shape and lead the development and execution of effective lifecycle and variation across a diverse portfolio of PFI assets. This role requires deep PFI sector experience gained across multiple asset classes. A technical/engineering background is essential alongside a strategic focus and commercial mindset.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategic lifecycle plans across the PFI portfolio
- Lead the planning and execution of contractual variations
- Develop and implement the strategic approach to variation works to ensure effective management and delivery
- Review the portfolio performance measures to ensure they are best in class and providing actionable insights to maximise value and minimise risk
- Monitor portfolio performance, proactively identifying risks and opportunities to enhance value
- Provide strategic insight to develop policies and procedures relating to all aspects of technical asset management
- Collaborate across the organisation to embed effective strategic asset management
- Manage budgets relating to lifecycle and variation works
- Lead the lifecycle and variations quality committee to review execution of works and create feedback loops to remove barriers to success and share learnings
- Significant experience in a senior PFI/PPP role, with a broad professional network across the infrastructure sector
- Proven ability to deliver complex strategic objectives independently
- In-depth understanding of operational PFI contracts and asset management best practices
- Strong technical foundation (e.g. engineering, surveying etc)
- Demonstrated strength in risk management and commercial insight
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Client-focused, relationship builder with a resilient and strategic mindset
- Degree-qualified in a relevant discipline (e.g., Quantity Surveying, Project Management, Civil Engineering)
